Last day of MTC!

There's no way it's already been three weeks. This month has flown by so fast. Also this whole email thing ain't it. I go through my week and then as soon as it's time to write about it, I forget everything that happened.  I'll make it short and sweet.  Wednesday - all I can remember was I wanted to not be with my companion anymore. Like he was ticking me off, making up stuff abt me and yeah.  That's when I just went downstairs to my room and prayed for a loooonnngg time, I'm talking hours here just me talking with God.  Anyway enough of Wednesday.  Thursday was temple day and we did all the ordinances in one day which was so cool. A lot of the native African elders have only been baptized when they were converted, so they don't really know how to be baptized if that makes sense. This one elder jumped up out of the water and backflopped into the font. It was probably the most holy splash I'll ever see, the rest of the ordinances were great. I love ...

I swear I was just writing an email last week. Hello again guys! I really don't know why I wait so long to write my emails because now I can't remember jack about what I did in my week. We got to see some of the city on our drive to and from the temple and wow... this place is soo... yk words really don't describe it.  I saw more homeless people on the streets than I have ever seen in my life.  Also the drivers here don't give a single f about anything like traffic laws don't exist.  We got our car drivers to play something other than npc church hymns. I...

Sawubona igama lami nguelder Cottrell. That's what duolingo has taught me so far lol.  It says hello my name is Elder Cottrell in Zulu. Zulu isn't even my mission language but the teachers here at the Johannesburg MTC say that if you're going street contacting, the people will start speaking Zulu to avoid having to talk to you, so I guess it's time for me to learn a language maybe. I'm gonna start at the beginning of my week. The flight, holy crap was this the longest flight of my life. I thought it was never going to end. I was sitting by this old dude and he would get up every two seconds and it was so annoying, like bro learn to hold it. Traveling in a full on suit was also really ✨️comfortable✨️  Once we landed In Africa, we got through customs no problem and it was all good until we went to get picked up and taken to the MTC. In our mission instructions, it specifically said do not be tricked by anyone in the airport trying to drive you. They must have a sign s...
